Now that school is on break (in most areas) with the kids spending more time at home and the summer work beginning to pile up, it is even more important for parents to take time out for themselves to keep their sanity. Easier said than done, right? Actually, it is not all that difficult to find time to indulge a little! It could be as simple as watching your favorite show once the kiddos have fallen asleep. However, with most popular T.V. shows being in hiatus until the fall you might need to find another show to capture your interest. This is where Netflix comes in!

Netflix has a great selection of titles to get you through the summer months. Sleeper hits you may have missed:
My favorite show The Blacklist does not return until September 22, so I have been watching old episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents on Netflix! There is currently 3 Seasons equaling 113 commercial free episodes to stream to help me recharge. Also, another great show I LOVE to watch on Netflix is Adventure Time! Okay, don’t laugh cause if you have never seen the program you do not even know how exceedingly bizarre and entertaining it is. The animated television series is about this boy named Finn who is best friends with his adoptive brother Jake, a dog with magical powers. The two go on strange trippy adventures in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Each episode is only 11 minutes long and highly addicting. I usually watch Adventure Time with my son, but I sneak in a few episodes when he is sleeping too.
I haven’t had a chance to watch Orange Is the New Black or Pretty Little Liars yet, but they are on my list to check out. My teen daughter has seen both of them and said they are excellent. So, I am planning on making some Pizza Popcorn and sitting down to give the shows a try this summer!
How do you recharge? Do normally take time out for yourself and watch a favorite T.V. show?
