Star Wars Rebels: Complete Season 2 is now on Blu-ray and DVD!  Season two comes with three Blu-ray discs bursting with 22 amazing episodes!  The stunning imagery and storyline of the hit CG animated series does not disappoint fans!

The new release delivers lots of action-packed footage with exciting exclusive material, including From Apprentice to Adversary: Vader vs. Ahsoka (on disc 3). The entertaining bonus clip features executive producer Dave Filoni discussing the conflict between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader and the inevitable lightsaber fight.  Other fun Bonus Features consist of 20 fun Rebel Recon episodes, hidden references, easter eggs and more!

About Star Wars Rebels: Complete Season 2

Amid growing Imperial oppression on Lothal, the rebels are forced to seek out new allies throughout the galaxy and additional resources to sustain their fight against the Empire. With the help of Ahsoka Tano, the crew of the Ghost bands together with a secret rebel cell and ex-soldiers from the Clone Wars to join a fledgling alliance determined to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy.

As Ezra continues his journey to become a Jedi under Kanan’s guidance, the threat of the dark side looms large over the fate of the growing rebellion. Darth Vader himself will dispatch new Inquisitors to snuff any spark of resistance, setting the stage for a climactic showdown in which past lives will be revealed, terrible truths will be discovered, and the lives of our heroes will be changed forever.

Star Wars Rebels was created by Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “Sherlock Holmes”), and Carrie Beck. The Lucasfilm Animation production is also executive-produced by Filoni and Kinberg.

My Thoughts on Star Wars Rebels:  Season 2!

I received a Star Wars Rebels: Complete Season 2 Blu-ray for review and haven’t put it down since I got it! Shhhhhhh…don’t tell nobody, but I actually like the animated series better than the Star Wars movies.  My son also can’t get enough of a Star Wars Rebels as well.  The cool cartoon characters pop with bright colors and add a refreshing aspect to Star Wars.  Star Wars Rebels fills the gap as to what happens 14 years after Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and five years before Star Wars: Episode IV  A New Hope.  Not sure if it is just me, but I find the plot more entertaining.

There is a rumor that the Star Wars Rebels animated series might influence the upcoming movies.  I hope so!  It would put a more modern energizing spin on the staleness of the storyline.

Keep watching for the third season of the critically acclaimed series (Star Wars Rebels) projected to premiere this fall on Disney XD.
