Shaun the Sheep: Shear Madness leaps onto DVD today (April 17, 2012) from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment! The playful sheep and his barnyard buddies are baaaaack in seven all-new adventures; thwarting his pesky swine neighbors, experiencing his first crush, embracing curiosity and having a blast. The 45 minute DVD additionally offers two fun kid pleasing bonus features, including Sing-along with Shaun and Timmy Time Sneak Peek -Timmy’s Tune #2 .
In this episode Bitzer injures his foot and can’t work, so the Farmer decides on having the pigs take over his role of looking after the sheep. The power hungry pigs take the opportunity to transform the farm into a porky paradise, at the sheep’s expense. Bitzer makes a desperate attempt to warn his master of what is going on behind his back, but it is Shaun who steps in and restores things as they were.
When a leak within the barn roof pushes the flock to relocate to the pig sty for the night, everything goes a muck. The selfish pigs don’t want to share their space and Shaun has to think of a strategy to patch things up between the restless sheep and self-centered pigs.
It’s the farmer’s birthday and he decides to throw a fancy dress house party to celebrate. However, Bitzer is entrusted with mailing the invitations and loses them all on his way to the post box when he gets distracted and begins to fool around. Shaun and the flock try to save the day by dressing up in costumes and posing as the farmer’s party guests.
“Cat’s Got Your Brain”
Two wacky aliens abduct Shaun and Pidsley and bring them aboard their flying saucer. Unfortunately, a foolish mistake causes the aliens to switch the animals’ brains around, which brings about mass confusion when they’re dumped back at the farm, Pidsley behaves like a sheep and Shaun acts like a cat!
Shaun falls head-over-hoofs for a new sheep who enters the flock. The two want a little romantic time to their selves, but the sheep keep following them. The two decide to try and fool the sheep by building robotic versions of themselves. Meanwhile, Bitzer goes on a hunt to find her rightful owner.
“What’s Up, Dog?”
A stray hot air balloon lands in the sheep field. While the balloonist is inside, Shaun and his friends are intrigued by the hot air balloon and decide to jump in. The sheep inadvertently launch themselves in the sky. Bitzer sees what happens and runs himself ragged attempting to find away to land the sheep safely.
“Draw the Line”
The flock borrow a road-line-painting machine and cause a chaotic mess and traffic problem by creating giant works of art in the fields.
“Sheep and Pigs and Aliens, oh my! It’s madness in the meadow with Shaun the Sheep and his flock of mischievous merrymakers! Shaun expertly stops the pigs from running amuck and turning the farm into a porky paradise. He amuses his friends when he falls head over hoof for a beautiful stranger and demonstrates what happens when curiosity gets the sheep after a hot air balloon lands and causes mayhem in the meadow… From the farm, to outer space and everywhere in between, Shaun and his barnyard buddies know how to have a woolly good time!”
My son become hooked on Shaun the Sheep after watching multiple episodes on Netflix one day, so he was extremely happy to receive the Shaun the Sheep: Shear Madness DVD! The animated shows are incredibly fun to watch and I actually enjoy them too! Our favorite episode on the DVD is “Cat’s Got Your Brain,” because we love the g0ofy aliens that make their appearance in the program from time to time. If you and your kiddos are Shaun the Sheep you’ll adore this DVD!
