Trying to find healthy meal choices for kids at a fast food restaurant can be an extreme challenge! Most of the time the food you find is deep fried, packed with calories, and nutritionally lacking. The fat laden fast food is not something health conscious moms and dads want to feed their precious growing sprouts! However, at Chick-fil-A, parents can now find a new Kid’s Meal featuring lower-calorie, lower-fat and gluten-free menu options. In response to the child obesity crisis, Chick-fil-A is offering grilled chicken nuggets instead of fried, real fruit sides, and drinks containing no high fructose corn syrup including one-percent milk, 100 percent apple juice and freshly-squeezed lemonade! The new Kid’s Meal is a direct commitment by the company to helping parents strike a balance between nutrition, convenience and price.
We don’t have a Chik-fil-A in our area, but if we did I would definitely be going there when my son was begging for chicken nuggets instead of the other well-known fast food restaurants!
