When I heard that Shout! had factory rights to distribute DVD and Blu-ray releases of some of Nick’s classic animated programs such as The Wild Thornberrys and Hey Arnold I became excited! My daughter who is age fourteen grew up watching these cartoons and my son can now enjoy them too. What I love about the Nick’s classic cartoons is they are usually filled with lots of fun moments and teach a practical moral lesson. PLUS, they are not violent like some of the recently produced cartoons you see today.
I received an advanced copy of The Wild Thornberrys Season 1 and have been enjoying the episodes with my son. We haven’t watched all the 4 discs yet, because there is 7.5 hours of program running time! The first season consists of 20 episodes including…
Dinner with Darwin
Matadi or Bust
Temple of Eliza
Flight of the Donnie
Lost and Foundation
Nigel Knows Best
The Great Bangaboo
Rumble in the Jungle
The Dragon and the Professor
Born to be Wild
The Wild Thornberrys: Season One will be released on DVD coming May 17th, but you can pre-oder it now at Amazon.com for just $21.99! Do yourself and kiddos a favor and add this fun series to your movie collection! I can’t wait to collect them all!
