Diapers And Wipes
First, you need to make sure that you have enough diapers and wipes for at least the first month. Now, we know that to some people this is going to sound extreme and dramatic, but a lot of people don’t feel like going out when they have a brand newborn. Of course, some people have no choice, and some people like to get out and about, but most women tend to want to stay home in their little bubble with their baby.
So, if you give yourself a month of supplies, you won’t be forced to go out for the essentials, you will simply have them to hand, making it easier for you.
Feeding Supplies
Have you decided how you’re going to feed your baby? Some people don’t know until the baby is born, and that’s okay, but if you’ve not decided yet your best bet is to get all the supplies you could need, just to be on the safe side.
So, bottles are of course a must because whether you’re breastfeeding or formula feeding, you may want to use bottles. As well as this, if you’re planning to breastfeed you may want to get a breast pump for when you’re feeling a little too full, or so that you can have a stock in the freezer.
It’s advisable to purchase some formula just to be on the safe side, as you never know when you’re going to need it, or if this is the path that you’re going to want to take.
Clothing For You
Finally, you should be considering what you’re going to wear when you’ve given birth. We recommend loose fitting clothing to ensure that you’re as comfortable as possible at this stage. Don’t try to squeeze yourself into jeans, but instead consider comfort over everything else. In fact, we also recommend taking a look into nursing friendly clothing so that you’re able to easily feed your baby as and when needed, without having to feel as though you’re completely exposing yourself if you don’t want to.
Hopefully, you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the different essentials that you should stock up on for when the baby comes. Take your time creating your stock over the duration of your pregnancy, and the cost of this shouldn’t hit you as hard.
