Johnson’s Natural Blog Tour
Johnson’s, through Mom Central, sent me the entire collection to try. I heard about the products in July and was elated finally to get to check them out. Hearing of a well trusted company like Johnson’s getting on the green train and making natural products was a HUGE step in the right direction. I grew up with Johnson’s and remember my mom giving me baths and using the baby oil on me when I was very little. I have always liked Johnson’s baby shampoo, powder, plus lotions and the way they have such a pleasant fragrance, but was looking for something a bit more natural to use on my own children. NOW that they have come out with line of products derived from plants, minerals, and fruits sources I can feel better about using and enjoying Johnson’s products once again. Plus, the products are a refreshing change to other high priced natural products on the market and are being sold for a reasonable price. I expect other famous brand companies to follow in Johnson’s footsteps and create more natural products along with making them affordable for us moms.
Before I go any farther, I just want to say I am well aware of the differences between natural and organic products. Even though the Johnson’s products are not considered to be organic they are still made with very few simple ingredients which are gentle on the skin compared to other expensive natural products you well find on the store’s shelve. They are 98-99% natural, and the other 2% is synthetic ingredients (sodium benzoate and benzoic acid) are used to guarantee and maintain the product freshness for it’s entire two-year shelf life. Remember, not all natural products are safe or gentle enough to use on a babies, but the JOHNSON’S NATURALS have been specifically designed for a baby’s delicate skin.
I ALWAYS test a new product on myself before using it on my children. If I have some sort of reaction or sensitivity I will not use the item on my son or daughter. I tried all 5 of the Johnson’s Naturals and thought they were very good. Johnson’s says the light fragrance is a blend of subtle white florals and powdery vanilla scents. All I know is it has a very fresh and clean smell. The HEAD-TO-TOE Foaming Baby Wash, Kids 2-in-1 Hand & Face Foaming Wash, and Baby Lotion bottles come with a excellent pump dispenser and are easy to use. In my honest opinion, the products made my skin feel clean and soft. As you can see from the above picture my son liked them too! I have no problem recommending the natural line!
