Tips that will Help you to Host the Best Family BBQ

Do you want to make sure that the next family BBQ you host is the best one yet? If so, then you have come to the right place. This guide will help you to put together an event that people are bound to remember.

Keep it Simple

The key to hosting a great BBQ is for you to try and keep things simple. Make sure that you do not go overboard when it comes to the menu and instead, focus on recipes that are both tried and tested. It’s about quality and not quantity at the end of the day. If you want to help yourself out here, then pick a few meat-oriented meals, such as burgers or sausage. You can then go for a vegetarian option, such as roasted vegetables on a skewer. Little things like this can help you to make the most out of your BBQ. If you want to do something a little different, then be sure to check out this easy smoked beer can chicken recipe.

Take a Seat

You do not need to make your BBQ a sit-down affair. Break out the beach chairs or the camping chairs and make sure that you do not leave your guests standing around. If you do not have enough seating then it isn’t a bad idea for you to ask your family members to bring a chair with them. This is a great way for you to ensure that everyone has somewhere comfortable to sit, so make sure that you are mindful of that.

Get Moving

Try and set the atmosphere by having a killer playlist. You can keep the songs playing all night, and this is a great way for you to keep people moving. Try and make sure that you opt for music that is upbeat and loud enough to really keep the mood going. You don’t want to make it so everyone has to shout over each other to get heard though. If possible, you also need to add a few cheesy classics to the playlist, so you can get people moving and having fun.

Avoid Catastrophes

Sometimes, you may notice that it is impossible for you to dish up condiments without getting them everywhere. It’s easy to make a huge mess and sometimes you may even lose the lids to the relish and coleslaw, making it harder to keep them fresh. One way for you to save a lot of stress would be for you to portion out your condiments. You can use muffin baking cases to do this, so people can just grab one and then return to their seat. If you want to serve up a vegetable platter then you can use hollow peppers rather than ramekins, so you can serve the dip nicely.

Stock the Bar

Make sure that you do not leave your guests high and dry. If you want to do something here, then keep the cooler fully stocked and do not forget to replenish it as the evening goes by. It’s recommended that you have one beverage an hour for every guest, but this comes down to the people you are having over too.
