How Crazy Is Your Household?

Right now you might be feeling as though your household is out of control. Your children will most likely not be in school at the minute, and they might not have been for a couple of months now. This can lead any parent to feel as though their household is just full of crazy. You’re not the only parent who is thinking it, we’re all in the same boat. This is truly a time that none of us has ever experienced before, or anything even close to it. So for our children who’s lives have also changed dramatically, it can be so hard to adjust. We don’t doubt that your family life has changed so much at the minute, and the way you go about your day to day life will have changed so much. Socially distancing everywhere means life just isn’t as it used to be. So it might have sent your house a little crazy at the minute, and we’re here to try and calm it down a little for you. Keep on reading if you’re desperate for a little bit of calm.

Keep A School Routine Going

If you haven’t been doing this up until now, which we know many parents have because they’ve have felt it too taxing to do, now might be the right time. Your household might be so crazy because there is no structure, and no real brain training is done through education. There are so many online websites you can find learning resources from suited for your children. If you only have small toddlers then this obviously doesn’t apply to you, but the next section might well do! If you are going to go down the educational route, don’t put too much pressure on it. Just a few hours a day setting your children tasks, such a writing a story, some history work, anything that gets their brains working and learning!

Bring In Reinforcements

Now you need to think about bringing in reinforcements if you know there’s nothing else you can do and you really just need a break, even if it be just for a few hours a day. Well, your guardian angel could come in the form of a nanny, and we’d definitely recommend that you get one if you’re trying to juggle working whilst your children are off school, and maintaining a household. GTM’s nanny tax services will be able to help you with the payments to make sure it’s correct, and all you really need to do is make sure that you have a rapport with the nanny, you trust them, and your children love them! It could just be the few hours you need to focus on you.

Have Your Own Space

It’s so important to make sure that you have your own space, but how much of it do we really have as parents? Not much at all, which is why you might feel like your household is so crazy and stressed. Having your own space gives you time to breathe, and if you don’t do it already we’d recommend going on a run, or doing some yoga in the next room whilst they’re watching a film. Physical exercise is a great way to clear your mind and to have your own space for just a little bit.
