When You Hit The Idea Wall For Your Blogging Business

business-blogging

A blogging business can be set up by anyone. It’s very easy to get going, and you’re immediately thrust into the online world where you can meet millions of customers and make fans. To be truly successful in a blogging business, you need something that no one can teach you or give you. Personality is your golden trait and the main reason why people will continually flock to you despite there being millions of other options out there. These sorts of businesses rely upon you giving helpful advice about all the different aspects of life, whether it is about money and controlling your finances, giving parents reassuring ways on how to take care of their children or simply, just doing reviews on products that you think would be useful to them. At first, it’s going to seem like a walk in the park because you have so much to say. When you start getting followers and people interacting with your posts, you’re going to be giddy and jumping over the moon. But sooner or later you’re going to hit the dreaded idea wall. You want to make content for your fans, but you hate repeating yourself. So what can you do about this?

Be efficient, be lean

There’s a philosophy that businesses all around the world have been adopting and adapting for a few decades now. It’s called lean manufacturing but doesn’t let the name fool you; it can be applied to any business. It’s it’s barest bones, the lean philosophy is a combination of employer desire and customer needs. Merging the two, it makes sense to first incorporate your ambitions with what is possible and what your customers want. A course like the master lean manufacturing online focuses on teaching you the Six Sigma tools. Instead of trying to think of something clever that you imagine your fanbase would like, why don’t you just ask them? But do consumers really come to your blog to get asked questions? No, generally they want to see the regular you and see what you’re up to. With a lean degree, you get to utilize subtle techniques that are for fishing customer approval. In other words, your creative process is linked to customer satisfaction.

Controversy drives traffic

It’s much harder to be creative consistently than it is to be creative spontaneously. It’s an amazing feeling to wake up every morning and be teaming with new ideas. But a blogging business is just like any other business in the world; it’s a marathon, not a sprint. The types of posts you’ll do in the beginning will be similar to lots of people, but they’ll have your own twang on them. You’ll do tutorials do explain how you do things in your daily life, personal posts talking about sensitive subjects that have impacted your life, checklists of things you recommend for holidays and public celebrations like Halloween and Easter, and picture posts of the things around your home and any DIY projects you’re up to. However, you shouldn’t be afraid to court controversy. It stirs up debate and shows a serious side to your blog. Give your opinion on something political, or an issue you deeply care about such as mental health or human rights.

Hitting the idea wall is never going to be something you can prepare for. Sooner or later you will run out of ideas, or so you think. You need to get out of your comfort zone and connect with customer needs. Channel all your creative processes in the direction of the desires your fan base has.
