Aloha Friday – Favorite Cartoon Character

It’s Aloha Friday again! Yippee!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

I guess you could call me a big kid! My likes and dislikes have not changed much from a child to an adult. There are days you might find me on the floor playing with Aiden and his Fisher-Price Little People Farm —Mooo!

I even love cartoons and still enjoy watching them with the kiddos.

When I was a young sprout I would jump out of bed every Saturday morning to watch the Smurfs. The little blue creatures who lived in those cute mushroom houses kept me captivated!

Papa Smurf was a young 543 years old and led over 100 mischievous Smurfs in the Smurf Village. He did his best to keep the little sky blue gnomes out of trouble, but they always seemed to fall in harm’s way of Gargamel who was absolutely obsessed to have them for a mid afternoon snack. Gargamel even created my favorite Smurf, Smurfette to destroy the Smurfs. His evil plan failed once Papa Smurf changed her nature and transformed her into the flower loving blond beauty .

My question this week

What was your favorite cartoon character as a kid? Is it still your favorite?

Mickey Mouse!! M-i-c k-e-y M-o-u-s-e the song still plays in my head, lol. I still love him!! want to go to Disney World/Land anywhere I can see Mickey. Right now the Disney Store sound great! I do not have any small one to take:-( and the Lady always ask”Can I Help You” as soon as I enter the store. I wonder what they would say if I said “I Just want to spend time with Mickey.”.

I loved the Smurfs and jumped out of bed on Saturday mornings to watch as well. I even had a collection of figurines, 78 of them, I think. I still get a kick out of watching old cartoons on Boomerang! Hong Kong Phooey is another fave. My all time favorite though is Snoopy. I used to get so excited when the Peanuts specials come on ABC. I still love Snoopy.
    Great post. What fun!
